Still in Construction

It’s been a minute since our last update. Life is busy, and we continue to make progress on the tiny house. The stairs are complete and the basement is all framed in and has new windows. It’s a completely different space that I think feels really cool.

One of the worst parts was jack-hammering out the weird concrete steps that led to the hobbit door that is no more.

Upstairs, the rebuild is going a little faster as there’s less work. The main bedroom has a new closet and raised ceilings and the main bath is taking shape.

We had a little help with modeling the new shower!

The current project is replacing all the windows. We’ve done six of 11, and they really bring new light and life to the house.

Two of my favorite features so far: the reconfigured stairs and the newly rebuilt retaining wall.

And because I have design on my mind, I walked into the main bedroom at our home and was struck by how boring it is. So here’s some inspiration for our latest home improvement project. Stay tuned!
